Tongan Whale Watching Regulations prohibit more than 4 swimmers in the water at a time and this is wonderful. It makes our small groups feel like a private charter. Intimate and uncrowded you will have lots of time to spend with the whales and you will never be rushed as is the case with large groups.
On the water you wil learn about and get to know Humpback whales in a way that just cant be done in one or two days. This is not the Monterey Bay Aquarium it is the wild blue ocean. Just like a safari in Africa you are in natures realm and subject to her moods and changes. For this reason we book for a minimum of 5 days of whale watching so that you will be certain that weather and whales will come together under the best of conditions and your trip will leave you with memories of a once in a life time experience.
Our boat "Proteus" is the finest in Vava'u. Fast, spacious, and comfortable in all seas it is capable of reaching out of the way islands and locations. Along the way we often see other marvelous wildlife; Whalesharks, Dolphin, Turtles, pelagic fish such as Sailfish, Marlin, and many others. We get out to where the action is because you just don't see all of natures wonders unless you go out of your way and look for it.
Photographers are always welcome and our smaller groups make for great photo ops with longer in water times for those perfect shots. We will always put the photographers in the water first so that you can get set up without a crowd.
