Requirements

Although swimming with whales is not often strenuous we require that you be in decent physical condition. You should be comfortable in the open ocean and have some experience snorkeling. You should be able to swim with fins for a minimum of 80 meters (or yards) with out trouble. We recommend that you take a course in snorkeling at your local scuba shop or at least practice snorkeling and swimming the recommended distance at a local lap pool. If you require a floatation assisting device please let us know in advance so that we can make the necessary recommendations and arrangements to properly assist you while in the water.

Liability Waiver:
All participants must sign a liability waiver form prior to boarding the boat. A copy of the form will be sent to you upon inquiry.

Equipment:
You must bring all of our own equipment including MASK, FINS, & SNORKEL. Also any swimming apparel such as "rash guards", flotation vest, wet suits, also hats, sunglasses, wind breaker, rain coat, towel, and never ever forget SUN BLOCK! Buy these before hand and make sure they all fit and work correctly.

In and Out:
Be familiar with all of your gear, photographers and videographers must be comfortable with their equipment and demonstrate experience by safely handling egress and ingress from the boat. All guest must be able to get in and out of the boat safely with minimal assistance.

Age:
Children must be calm and mature both in the water and on the boat. Minimum age is 10 years and must demonstrate swimming ability before disembarking. Additionally the child must always be along side an adult who must demonstrate experience swimming as well.

On the other side of the scale we have no upper limit so long as you can demonstrate that you are physically fit and able to swim 80 meters.

Removal:
At any time if the crew feels that you are getting into trouble or becoming a danger or disruption to the activity in any way you will be removed. We reserve the right to remove any guest from swimming activities. This is for everyones' safety, yours, the group, the whales, the vessels.
